I don’t even know the race of the person that killed Sheridan. Race is perceived differently in Latin America and different parts of the world so it could’ve been a “white” illegal for all we know. I only give a shit that this could’ve been avoided completely without these “sanctuary city” states circumventing federal law.

There’s no way 350k afghans provided direct support to the U.S. military. And why are over 50% of them unemployed and on welfare? Also Afghanistan is a completely different country than Haiti, btw, in case you didn’t know.

Yeah but Afghanistan is brown to Americans. Thats the through line here. Those Haitians JD Vance was lying about eating pets were legal temporary residents. But they were brown, so they were fearmongered. But those white South Africans aren’t fearmongered about. So let me get this straight. You think the government should be “trolling” people by spending government money giving white South Africans free android tablets, and shipping them here, while actual refugees are being denied entry? What about Nigerian Christians? Chinese christians? Uyghurs? Iraqi Christians? Cubans? All these groups the right claims to care about.

Americans perceive afghans as brown. Legally speaking, middle easterners and Mexicans are considered white in the USA. But most Americans do not perceive them as such.

Americans do not base their racial prejudice on who is actually white or not. It is simply enough to be of an ethnicity who is perceived as being not white, regardless of their whiteness. In this case, being Muslim makes them into a racialized “other”.
