What’s going on in Texas? The state hasn’t voted blue for anything in the 24 years I’ve been alive, yet I haven’t seen many polls (maybe 1-2?) where Paxton is ahead on Talarico

talarico is a uniquely good candidate, church boyscout with nothing the republican party can really use besides culture war stuff that doesn't stick well.

meanwhile paxton is a uniquely bad candidate, rife with controversies while also not really campaigning or receiving money from donors atp despite only really winning the primary off the trump endorsement when cornyn was considered the stronger opponent
