Probably my hottest take is that trans people have zero obligation to their partner to reveal that they’re trans until they are 100% ready no matter how late into the relationship that may be.
Transgender people who do any intimate activities with anyone without disclosing they are trans should go to jail for rape, even kissing

in theory i agree, but in our (sometimes violently so) heteronormative trans-hostile child-centric society, this is deceptive in a relationship and others have stated, set trans people up for dangerous situations

this seems like it’s intentionally advocating to create harmful situations towards trans people

I mean that’s a pretty big deal. If you’re dating somebody or about to sleep with somebody you gotta give them a heads up. But at the same time, people shouldn’t lose their shit over it when they find out. Really this is just a symptom of the larger issue which is rampant homophobia and insecurity over one’s own sexuality.

True unless you’re hooking up w your partner without them knowing that you’re transgender bc that’s pretty deceitful

I mean it could have that effect but if trans people want to avoid violence then they can tell their partner. All I’m saying is they shouldn’t HAVE TO. Obviously they can if they want

Yeah that’s my only concern, especially in the modern political climate. If someone considers you being trans a dealbreaker when you tell them right away, there’s a non zero chance it’ll turn violent if it’s withheld. Better to get it over with I guess

I’m pretty sure several countries even consider the “trans panic defense” a valid thing, thus making violence against a trans partner when they reveal they are trans easier to get away with.
