so Hamas didn’t agree to the *whole* agreement, but they DID agree to release all of the hostages (this is excellent, and I really hope it moves forward) we will now see how much bibi actually values the hostages

Why are we still giving these people the benefit of the doubt. Netanyahu has said anyone opposed to a Palestinian state must support Hamas. He siphoned funds to them. Every person they kill was killed by Netanyahu and his dangerous policies.

yeah I mean. I think it’s unlikely that the deal will actually go through HOWEVER I think this is a rare situation where Trump’s toxic pride and ego might work in favor of a good outcome. if bibi balks here, trump loses his only real shot at a Nobel and as sick as it would make me for that man to get what he wants, it makes me sicker to watch Palestinians die

I also think the rest of the world is in a completely different mindset re: Israel than they were pre-2023. if Hamas actually stepped out of leadership, it’s likely at least some of these nations would totally drop the pretense of support for Israel
