PSA: He had a LEGAL, REGISTERED firearm and a concealed carry permit. Multiple videos prove he never pulled his gun. DHS is now USING his legal, registered firearm as an excuse to justify his murder. Second Amendment people: THIS COULD BE YOU.

This has always been us, the local police and the feds have always had pretty much impunity to shoot us with legally carried firearms because they “feared” for their life after seeing it. This isn’t new, there’s whole sections in Conceal carry classes of how to interact with cops while carrying so you don’t get shot

So genuine question (and one that assumes several things from a large data trend, and for that I’m sorry). If you guys have been aware that your legal firearms are the government’s excuse to get away with murdering you in the event they want to - why are so many gun people Trump supporters? Why would they EVER want to put a FASCIST at the head of the government that does that?

I actually voted for Kamala even though I didn’t agree with a lot of things (different debate for a different time) but many gun owners that I’ve run into are single issue voters or like 3 issue voters, one of them always being guns. When you look at democrats there’s always an attempt to limit that somehow, either the types, attachments, accessibility, whatever, so democrats are an automatic non starter for most when one of their top priorities is gun rights.

Is it rational? Probably not, but they look at “boogeyman” states like California or New York where gun ownership is more of a privilege than a right and how they’re run by democratic governments and get into this “well if they get power they’ll just turn this whole country into CA/NY and take my guns” so it could be a monkey on the R ticket they’d vote for that because of the connotation of dems and gun grabbing
