Trump shares a very similar personality to my dad and grandfather. I can tell you from my observations that, truly, any sense of sincerity, compassion, or amazement is derived from the NOVELTY of an experience rather than the experience itself. It’s obvious that Trump feigns interest and attention (people, policy, public issues) by engineering his interactions with others (stages appearances/visitors, urgent briefings, large online presence) and acting grandiose.
