Honestly these people are so exhausting to listen to. Probably would've said the same thing during civil rights and Vietnam protests.

Speaking as someone who’s been to a few, it’s very easy for people to laugh off protests without articulating their problem with that sort of vocal opposition. Lemme put it this way: I will not go to bat for Biden on a number of things. But I don’t recall millions going out in the streets to protest his term’s shortcomings.

It’s a tale old as time: those opposed to the message of big movements laugh about it until that level of organizing brings millions together to advocate change. It’s not the protests alone: it’s how the citizenry organizes to bring awareness and change.
