A single state where only one religion has full rights is the most popular solution among both Israelis and Palestinians because both groups have genocidal actors who aren’t shy at all about what they want to do to the other side. Israel occupied Gaza in 1967 in the 1967 war against Egypt. Egypt had been occupying it before that. Hamas was founded in 1987, and Israel left the Gaza Strip in 2005. Obviously they’ve since gone back after after Hamas went into Israel militarily in 2023
