As a petroleum science major Venezuelan oil is horrible too they have a lot but it’s so heavy and energy intensive to refine as compared to Texas sweet oil which we have PLENTY of and all the infra for it too. NO reason for war fuck Trump

They got so much oil it created “La Mancha Negra”, a mysterious goo that seeps from the ground and roads that is completely unknown and unidentifiable to scientists

I looked it up and the most accepted theory is that it’s either heavy oil seeping from the low grade asphalt on the roads or a mix of dust with the fluids of leaky older cars

In any case the point of my post was that they do have a TON of oil but it’s all low quality and difficult to process. We have better oil at home
