after Asian americana were forced to work on railroads and forced into internment camps during wwII, black communities understand their suffering and reached out for solidarity against their white oppressors. Instead, Asian Americans decided to slap their hand away and side with the oppressors, which is why today a lot of Asian Americans are successful and call black people lazy. Black people GAVE them the choice to work together towards racial justice, and they chose not to

I think something we have to note with this and the context of it is that most of the Asian American community in the USA today is not descended from the earlier Asian communities who struggled with segregation etc.

Those Chinese railroad laborers were primarily Taishanese men, whose descendants are dwarfed by more recent waves of Cantonese, Mandarin, and Fujianese immigrants. The vast majority of Chinese Americans are descendants of recent immigrants, not from the older communities.

My point in this isn’t to say that Asian Americans don’t suffer from racism, but the majority of Asian Americans are not descended from the people who experienced segregation in San Francisco, or internment camps in arkansas, or pogroms in Wyoming. Instead, most Asian Americans are descended from recent immigrants who integrated directly into white-dominated society.

This means that most Asian Americans are not impacted by historical systemic racism. They tend to be recent immigrants disproportionately immigrating with high-paying professions. There’s something sort of similar with Nigerian immigrants. Nigerians tend to be pretty wealthy, because the Nigerians who can come here are disproportionately doctors and the like.

So I think maybe if there wasn’t the huge Asian migration wave following the 1950s, and the Asian community in the USA was still predominantly Japanese and Taishanese who experienced segregation and the like, you wouldn’t see this rhetoric as much. Instead those people are drowned out by the more recently immigrated communities.
