i also think he does it to normalize the queer fitness/bodybuilding culture he lusts after. a lot of the ideas in looksmaxxing are just the cultural standards of the gay bodybuilding circuit in the 00s-10s rebranded for straight, conservative men. even down to the meth use to maintain low body fat. he's literally trying to set "his type" as the social standard for male beauty.
