For me it came from working in geopolitical analysis and being former military, understanding the value of allies above all else. I want to claw my eyes out seeing these people who think we exist as a superpower without needing friends

I unironically argued with someone who said we need to annex Greenland because “China is taking over the mining” and it was Chinese investment in a single mining project that the Greenlandic government cancelled before it even began due to health concerns. All the mining in Greenland is European and North American investors. AND we have a base there.
