I think it’s actually way dumber than that. When you’re in elementary school, they teach you a dumbed-down version of historical events. Stupid people never get over that dumbed-down version of events, and when they find out it was more complex than they were told at 7 years old, they immediately jump to it all being a lie. Especially when it fits their pre-determined narrative of hating minorities.

It’s a bit unfair to say dumbed down, it’s just age appropriate. Some people can never reach the higher level history classes in which the age appropriateness is more in depth. Thanks failing literacy rates and tech centered gamified education! Very cool! But there is most certainly a psyop to make people forget it was planned to discourage planning now. Bc planning works. They don’t want us to know that

Well it’s not dumbed down, bc 7 year olds aren’t dumb. They’re 7. It’s a starting place. Some people are dumb and can’t advance past the starting place but don’t call the beginning dumb, yaknow

I mean I say dumbed down in the same way I would say that a video game tutorial level has a dumbed down version of the gameplay. Is it dumbed down for a good reason? Yeah. Is it still fundamentally simplified? Absolutely.
