psa about the fact that they’re doing way more than deportation they’re literally putting people in concentration camps
Leftists would love deportations and ICE if the people getting deported were Republican

Well then you are downplaying what happened during the holocaust. People were forcefully taken to concentration camps and killed. That is what they are called. You might call them death camps and while they are that is NOT the term for them.

I did look it up. And again saying what the United States is doing is the same term as what happened during the holocaust is gross. While what the US is doing is wrong it should not be used within the same terminology

but i didn’t i said they’re using concentration camps which is what they are: forced detention without due process. also the holocaust isn’t the only time in history concentration camps existed they’re not exclusive to the nazi model

I dunno, man, they’re not giving prisoners enough food and water and making them ration it, there’s chronic physical and occasionally sexual abuse from the guards, people are going days without showers and clean clothes, people don’t get medical care for serious conditions for literally days, detainees describe tents and bathrooms flooded with sewage. This is all from fort bliss. if you think that’s not concentration camp conditions uhhhh you’re blind. you’re just blind.

billion dollar facility btw. Brand new. it’s not like the nazis started mass killings immediately, it started with imprisoning lots of people in terrible conditions which is what is happening right now

The Holocaust didn’t start overnight. They tried deportation, a Jewish homeland, keeping them in their neighborhoods (the ghettos, ICE is trying something similar with house arrest too), making them work in camps, THEN they started to fully genocide them.

This. There were thousands of camps spanning nearly a decade and almost every country in Europe. A lot of them are incredibly similar to what we’re seeing today.

#1 can’t read nuance ig, even when the nuance is that the “final” solution implies other attempts at solutions before it. Prisoner B-3087 is such a good first-hand account of the changing conditions, life in the ghetto, cleaning up the ghetto as a prisoner after it was “liquidated,” life in 10 camps, 2 death marches, and liberation. Cannot recommend it enough
