US Politics on Sidechat | Dude, healthcare is fucking insane, even when you have money, this shit should be unacceptable. $600 a month for a bare bones plan in addition to the tax burden I already have. We already pay enough in taxes, that healthcare should just be covered.

For a while a few years ago I was stuck in this fucked up space in Florida where I made too much money for Medicaid, and too little money for subsidized care, so I just straight up couldn’t have healthcare, and then I had to have my appendix taken out and got stuck with a bill for $60,000. The only reason I didn’t go bankrupt is because the hospital was nice enough to offer charity coverage 🙃
