Democracy lets the people have some say in where their taxes are allocated. Ig it doesn’t have to be a full democracy but at least when it comes to tax laws

Events are going to happen in this world regardless and people make mistakes when choosing leaders. It’s being allowed to properly respond to those mistakes that’s more important in the end. Also, a democracy would literally directly impact if someone was “forced” to pay taxes. In a democracy you get the chance to vote against being forced to do something.
