Cope and seethe loser, my grandpa was hardly a serf until he came here and made a fuck ton of money and a gas station and real estate empire through his own blood sweat and tears

How does a serf end up owning a real estate and petrol empire?

He worked at a gas station as a young man, eventually ended up owning it. Continued to develop and manage them, and expanded from commercial real estate into private real estate.

It really just sounds like he got incredibly lucky. The average petrol station attendant cannot reasonably expect to just end up owning their workplace

There definitely was an extreme level of hard work engrained in him from an understanding of where he and his family would be without it.
