But my idea is that the electoral college system is silly in that way, since there’s literally more dems in Texas but that doesn’t mean anything I guess

I mean it’s proportional. Texas has more seats than ny so it does mean something. It’s just that a certain group has maintained control to dilute the minority/democrat voter share since the civil war

Well estimated based on primary voting records. Of course you could have a bunch of republicans voting in dem primaries to vote for the worse candidate and vice versa
