I think we need to be focusing on how postpartum psychosis is routinely dismissed and ignored rather than inventing evidence

Wasn’t her entire defense that she committed the crimes but she wasn’t mentally fit to stand trial? How is she claiming she didn’t do it now

confessions ≠ conviction. not trying to add speculation, but in this case, it is entirely possible that in her mental state she was coerced into that confession and leaping from “she confessed” to “she killed them” in such a complicated case is.. interesting

did you even listen to his reasoning?? the actual defense calling to question the laughable investigation and the valid speculation—Lindsay aside something is seriously wrong with that man.

It’s her supporters that are saying she didn’t do it. They want to blame Patrick as if he didn’t get a nanny, take his job remote, and take the kids on a trip.

Except in this case it was not ignored. Thats the point of this specific post. It absolutely is an issue when it is ignored, though.

Oh I’m not saying in the trial, I’m saying before the actual murders the signs were ignored. The psychosis doesn’t mean she didn’t do it, but she had showed signs leading up to the incident and action could have and should have been taken

Im saying action was taken though. She got help. She had a nanny. Patrick started working from home, she checked herself into a hospital and decided to check herself out against the doctors words.

Her youngest was 8 months old. The fact that she chased one of her children around to kill them and the whole thing lasted for 18 minutes is a big talking point. She choked them to the point they were bleeding.

In the end she made those decisions to kill the kids. Also her psychologists said she didn’t suffer from psychosis only depression and anxiety

Not sure where you got your info from but alright, she attempted to get help numerous times, was on over 12 different meds, and they brushed her off each time she brought it up, they didn't do shit, the healthcare system failed to do its job and subsequently she ended up killing her kids

Her lawyer originally asked for a bifurcated trial, which means he can ask the jury to determine whether or not she did it, and if they find that she did it, to ask for a ruling of not guilty by reason of insanity. However, this request was denied, so he was forced to proceed with just the plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
