Am I wrong for still not wanting to leave the country. I’d rather go down with the ship instead of going to an unfamiliar foreign land that probably isn’t much better.

even if i had the money to move, i have a partner who has a lot tying him to our city and i am not going to make him choose between leaving all that behind or trying to maintain a distance partnership, especially since we plan on getting married once we can afford it--which would be really awkward if we didnt even live in the same country...

tldr theres a lot of reasons to not leave, so its not like you can say, with substance, whether theres a right or wrong here
