can someone explain how you can get still get pregnant on T and not having periods? like i understand that it can still happen but I can’t find anywhere that explains Why in a way that i can understand

i think its cause you can still ovulate and have your cycle just without the blood theres also other hormones released in your cycle that arent estrogen that probably add to this

It’s this. Mfs don’t even know why trans women get cramps. Much less this. They barely know anything about us except that hrt works. And even that they still debate

yep. ovulation and menstruation are related but separate processes. this is why woman can get pregnant after giving birth before their period returns, and why small children can get pregnant while being abused even if they’ve never had a period. it’s also commonly a cause of infertility/perceived infertility. if someone has irregular or off-cycle ovulations it can be hard to time attempts (some women even ovulate *during* their period).

this is also why *some* educated and trans-friendly fertility clinics will do egg retrievals on people without stopping t. (depending on their specific situation etc)
