I’ve always gone to Great Clips never had an issue, I have a pretty simple/standard haircut though

Depends a lot on the person. There’s many good hair cutters in those places.

i still haven't found a good place to get a haircut but they're what's accessible and cheap so i settle for looking bad for a week before it grows out a touch

great clips definitely wont be better though. are you sure theres none though or even in the town over. usually to find some i try to look at reviews and photos and see if they did any styles on ppl who look queer. they also dont have to be specifically queer adjacent just make sure they can do a good style for your face shape and give u what u want
