My bf is getting top surgery next month and I want to crochet him something. What would be a fun/good thing to make him?

a crochet stuffie of his favorite animal with top surgery scars (if that would work on whatever his favorite animal is). i have a build a bear frog that has top surgery scars so anything shaped minds like that would look very good

how much time are you willing to spend on it? bc a lot of ideas id toss around might be like bigger projects but if youre looking for quicker projects thats a whole different list

i think maybe like a cardigan or wrap shawl might be nice! i don't know what the weather is like in your area but it's gotten pretty cold here and pullovers are tough after top surgery what with not being able to raise your arms and all, with the time crunch maybe you can use like blanket yarn or any just heavier weighted yarns to make it go by faster

ive also made a hex cardigan before and it goes by really fast since you "skip" squares lol, and you can always add as many or as few extra rows to the hem once you finish and connect the two main panels

Well for my top surgery I got a hand made boob window shirt and the back said “keyhole” on it (cus I got keyhole surgery) the reason I was asking about the type of surgery is because some people say it’s hard to lay on their stomach after the one where you get the two scars so I was gonna say making a warm pack/ wrap or something softly to wear / lay there would be helpful
