are you really rushing if you’ve contemplated it for years?

What’s stopping you from potentially giving it a shot for a few months and seeing what the experience is like. Give it like, idk, three months and see how you’re feeling. Because at that mark almost everything is reversible. And if you don’t like it you never have to touch T again!

it’s a very expensive thing to try out. not to mention i live in a state where it’s illegal for insurance companies to cover anything related to transitioning so

the planned parenthood in vienna will prescribe t via telehealth. you can do the blood work in the clinic or they’ll give u an order for any labcorp statewide. they offer a sliding scale for self-pay patients (iirc i paid like $70 incl the blood test). with goodrx t is like $30 for three months, and you can buy needles in bulk online. if you’re interested, i really recommend just calling and setting up an appt + they have to give u a quote for the cost beforehand if u request it.

i’ve heard the women’s health center of WV has some resources to support people who have difficulty paying, but i never went thru them bc their program isn’t based on informed consent and i got weird vibes. but! ik they’ve helped several people so your mileage may vary. if u’ve been thinking about it for several years, tbh, just try it ime. if you don’t like it you can stop at any time/every week is a chance to check in with urself if u wanna keep going or not.
