blisters are the main issue; to be honest i messed up removing some and tore a good amount of skin, but it was weak because a blister had formed. blisters ! keep forming ! i know that overstretching during application can cause this as can stretched edges, but i avoided that and it still happened. how slack does the tape need to be? how does it bind if it’s not pulling the flesh/skin?
Unfortunately you might just have sensitive skin. What brand of tape are you using? I use trans gen x tape and the adhesive isn’t super strong but I haven’t had any blisters or rashes. On the other hand though I tend to wear my tape for pretty short bursts so I’m not sure how it holds up for a whole day.
#3 might be right that u could just have sensitive skin, something ive done to get around it is using a thin sheet of gauze to cover a bit more skin than just the nipple covers would. it means wearing the tape for shorter times since theres less adhesive to hold but its helped me with tearing and irritation. you can also try pulling at an angle instead of horizontally when placing the tape, i find that it requires less tension generally tho it looks more like having large pecs as opposed to flat
if you want to check for sensitivity try a patch test, so just stick a small cut of the tape in the area you want to use it and leave for a day or two, see how the skin under it reacts. if its ok then id practice application, its a stick-stretch-stick, where you want maybe one to two inches of unstretched tape on each edge. if you dont already you can also practice it with a slight upward angle towards your armpits, which ive personally found pull less aggressively on the tissue
