Kind of a weird question but are there any religious peeps here? I’m not trying to preach or anything but I wanna know how faith and my gender can interact if that makes sense

I believe in god still though im not actively religious and havent stepped in a church since before covid. My belief is that we’re all gods children and he made us this way for a reason. I hate christians who use the religion to further their hateful aims

I’m of a non-Abrahamic religion, but if you’re talking about Christianity then there’s a lot of queer/trans readings of the Bible that are super affirming. I recommend finding a trans theologian who speaks on their religion (I found an ftm one but don’t remember who, otherwise I’d share)

I am somewhat, non practicing and I don’t really align with any singular religion or spirituality. It’s kinda more like a combo of everything I’ve learned and believe in

i turned to religion when i was ashamed of being trans, and it kept me stuck in that mindset longer.

i think the only reason a god would've put me in a body that gives me dysphoria is if he wanted to fuck up my life. why should i worship a god that's against me?

Im not going to tell you what to believe. Its an individual decision but for me I just see it as gods plan ig in my case. To be who i was truly meant to be i had to go through a lot of hardship. But i made it out the other side

I don’t usually mix with with Baptists just bc of my experience with them but I am a Christian and what I will say is that my belief is that God loves us regardless of what we feel inside 😁

baptists are the group the modern evangelical christian nationalists are most directly descended from. even baptist churches that deviate from that trend are some of the most conservative.

While no denomination fits perfectly with my views, theirs are overall what align the most. Just because there are bigoted Baptists doesn’t mean transphobia, Christian nationalism, etc. are inherent to in any way them/us. Baptists can be quite diverse, and each Baptist church is independent. My beliefs are based off of my views and my views only, not the views of others who happen to also call themselves Baptist. Also, in case you’re thinking of Southern Baptists — they’re different.

Southern Baptists are mean! I’ve met a few regular Baptists tho and they were pretty nice overall. I saw something the other day that ‘we shouldn’t base Jesus off of those who misrepresent Him’ and I definitely think that applies to certain denominations lol
