(im sorry this is gonna be so long) basically the liquid was stuck in the needle itself and even when i pushed on the syringe’s top, it wouldn’t go in. i did this differently three times and i think i got hormones on my hands so i washed them but essentially the shit kept getting stuck in the actual needle instead of the syringe. so i couldn’t push it. and if i were to make it go into the syringe, there would be an air bubble. plus there seemed to be a LOT of air bubbles.
i switched to injections last week cuz it turns out im extremely allergic to topical methods (like hives so bad i have scars and permanent patches of leathery skin on the application site, and i still get them nightly for some reason, and then a severe dermatitis outbreak on my face as well, all due to an allergic reaction)
wait so was there some liquid trapped jn the needle? thats called dead space and all needles should account for it. or are you talking about drawing the oil from the vial? you can always do your injection later or have a friend do it, missing only a day is fine as long as u inject soon after. i'm not rlly sure what ur saying though
the first two times i injected i was under the supervision of a nurse, first time was the official teaching session and second time was just to make sure everything was set. if you have access to something like that definitely utilize it! i could technically have scheduled indefinite weekly appointments but i wanted to be independent asap
ah yeah only the first time for me. but i scheduled a second appointment to do it. i’m thinking either the needle (or both of them tbh) wasn’t screwed on correctly or the syringe was a dud and had some kind of lock failure, or maybe my dosing is just low to the point of making it more difficult. regardless i think the second appointment might help. i’m not sure though. i asked another trans friend but i think the way she does it is different cuz she DIYs it, so different syringe and needle type.
