also: when I first started transitioning, one of my friends started acting weird around me, and she said smth like “you’re not a woman anymore, so I don’t know if I can trust you to not see me differently” and it sounded like she thought I’d have a drastic personality shift or smth? idfk, we stopped being friends for unrelated reasons

This is why the misandry as a joke thing pisses me off cause like girl it’s not feminist to be a bigot. Like yea men are a privileged group but interpersonally that doesn’t stop anyone being bigoted towards them. It just means the government and institutions won’t do anything. Shits annoying as hell.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s this shit that delayed my realization and acceptance that I was a guy for a good 6 or 7 years

one of my friends freshman year got harassed by an RA since he was on the girl’s floor at like 2 am… with his friend, helping her put up a projector screen. in her room. and the RA just started yelling at him and saying shit like “I can’t sleep with the smell of you men on the floor” and I wish he reported that shit. ik it’s more prevalent online, but regardless of location it’s just awful 😭

mind you, he was IN HER ROOM, not the hallway. the door was open & the RA walked in uninvited and just started yelling. the guy and the friend were just standing there frozen when I got there, I gen wanted to sock the RA. ugh.

mind you, he’s asexual and she was making comments like “you’re only here to get into her bed” and later he told me that being seen as a sexual force like that made him feel sick. and she was bodyshaming him and everything 😭 it was awful. just using her authority to excuse literal harassment. still pissed abt it and I regret not reporting her myself before she graduated.

lwe had some issues where he’d seen withdrawn and just do no-shows, and when we talked it was bc he didn’t want to seem “too interested” and thought one of our friends saw him differently because of what the RA z said + his own anxiety about it. this was years ago but I’m getting pissed off again, so I’m putting the phone down
