Being trans masc sucks, i look like a little boy but im 22 and seeing men actually look like 22 year old men makes me feel so inferior, i know they probably see me as a woman or a young boy šŸ¤•

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted for this…it’s a real thing that happens and it does suck

There has been propaganda against trans men who want to pass as men

I guess, but it’s hard for me to take u seriously rn when u just called yourself a transmasc. It’s not the same thing as being a trans man

it’s hard to take OP seriously despite how they’re experiencing dysphoria at being perceived as a woman or young boy?

Nah didn’t mean that. Meant it’s hard to take the ā€œpropaganda against trans men who want to pass as menā€ comment seriously when he referred to himself as a trans masc

I guess, but OP sees himself as trans masc & a trans guy if he’s making that comment

tf? why’re you being rude to someone just because he’s questioning his identity?

If he seriously bases his identity off how people perceive him instead of his own perceptions then I don’t know what to say lol. Also being on HRT and clearly transitioning while saying he’s ā€œprobably transā€. It’s just confusing that’s all. After the comment about the propaganda about trans men especially

it reads more like he’s unsure if he’s ok with being perceived as a man in practice, which imo is a normal thing. and he might know he wants the HRT changes, but is unsure if/how he’ll manage social transitioning, which imo is also normal

lol it’s hard to tell if he’s unsure about being read as a man after that ā€œtrans men wanting to pass as menā€ comment. It’s just a little funny to take a hard stance on that while not even being sure about his own identity/im assuming he’s not out as a man and so why bother commenting on it. So many contradictions

I said that because i asked why i was being downvoted, because there is a negative response to trans men or trans masc who feel dysphoria or want to look cis, i don’t feel right socially transitioning because i have too much embarrassment about not being cis

I’m on hrt because i craved to be on T since i was a teen but I’m not out as trans i second guess hrt bc what’s the point if I’m never going to be a cis man or out as a man and then i think i probably just want to escape from myself and that there’s no way im actually trans

I said trans masc because it’s basically what I’m perceived as rn due to looking extremely masculine as a woman and using she/him pronouns and my birth name. Most people they/them me which i hate more than she or him! When i do get he/him, it feels like i’m being called out for obviously not being a man, when i get she/her’d i feel like I’m less scrutinized and that it’s not juxtaposed with measuring the parts of me that don’t fit he/him, so that my masculinity can actually be taken seriously

Ok I get you know. I understand agonizing over not being cis. Every day I wish I was a cis man. But clearly 1. You dont want to be a woman or they/them med which I also understand and 2. You want to be a man, and you also are a man. I understand how it’s hard to look in the mirror and conflate that body with being a man. You are trans, and so am I, and I don’t want to be trans but this is what I have to do to not hate myself every single time I look in the mirror

Maybe you need to take baby steps towards passing more first and once people recognize you as a man it’ll help things settle? That’s what’s happened to me. But it might be different circumstances. I’m sorry for being rude before.

I'm ngl as a trans man who wants to pass as a man, this "propaganda" you're talking about isn’t anything more than some loud, chronically online, twitter users. In real life there’s truly not a big anti-passing trans man movement among the lgbt+ community unless you have the misfortune of running into one of those chronically online people in person. Your comment about propaganda just comes off strange and out of touch
