definitely understand. maybe ask if she would feel more comfortable topping if she used a strap instead?

Honestly there isn’t much to do. She may be having dysphoria from her bottom area and taking a more dominant position might make her feel more masculine. Dysphoria is hell, the best you can do is work around it. Maybe she’ll process it and change with time, but in all likelihood that may not happen
