I’m tired of this whole “it’s actually fighting against the patriarchy and gender roles when I draw trans people who aren’t transitioning” shit. Obvs representation is important, but don’t act like you’re doing this out of some noble cause

Genuinely boggles my mind how trans women are the only people who are never considered in the ways we are depicted or discussed. The fact that SOME trans people are gender nonconforming doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of trans women aren’t.

For sure, it’s good to represent the community but not all of us want to take down the system or be images of radical change. We just want to be people. I don’t want my existence to be political

Also I’m sure it’s a very funny coincidence you never see trans women drawing trans women with a shit ton of masculine features. It only ever comes from people who aren’t trans women that want to speak for us for some reason (hint: it’s transmisogyny)

Exactly. I’m a trans man and it makes me angry to see how some voices even from inside our community ignore or try to talk down about how transmisogyny is a huge problem

LITERALLY There are so many trans woman who talk about what a problem transmisogyny is and how the trans community needs to get its act together, but when we say that it falls on deaf ears at best or people get mad at worst :( Idk I just want to be treated nicely dude, I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. But it’s hard to ask for that when you’re constantly told you’re a complaining trans woman

I do think oppression Olympics can be a problem and needless infighting is dumb but the truth of the matter is that trans women have it the worst out of all of us. It’s a fact.

Oh for sure, this is just the case statistically. Not that invisibility is necessarily a privilege, but hyper visibility is more dangerous
