Seeing an event where no men are allowed but they always specify cis men will always be so fucking yucky to me

that’s fair but i feel like it’s in an effort to make the space as inclusive and as much of a safe space as possible and i also think it depends on what kind of space they’re trying to create

Idk even then by saying no cis males u get a lot of people who would want to attend a lgbt event but don’t feel comfortable talking openly about being trans while also treating trans men like they aren’t men I just feel like that’s never worth it imo

that’s a valid point, i suppose it’s just a misdirected(?) (idk if that’s the right word) attempt

Idk it always just yucks me out because unless it’s like a lesbian space (yes I know trans men can be lesbians but that usually works out as a dating identity rather than a primary experience for everyone) it’s just bioessentialism and usually anti trans one way or another And then in lesbian spaces it’s usually just not them actually seeing trans men as men which is yucky on the surface so u don’t even gotta know theory
