
right and like it sucks bc actually learning those terms helped me A LOT bc i struggle with depression, ocd, autism, etc. and having words to describe those behaviors helped me look up how to deal with it and feel less like a failure and more like a normal person and then to have them watered down?
esp intrusive thoughts bc mine are like, every time i see a POC i worry about opening my mouth and full on SHOUTING a racial slur. have i ever said a racial slur? no absolutely not but i have to literally bite my tongue to make sure i don’t do it. i have some ab whether or not i’m doing awful things all the time and blocking them out. it’s BAD. and then ppl use it to mean “something you want to do” NO!!!!!!! REALLY REALLY NO. and there’s other types of ocd that’s WAY more harmful to, like P-OCD
