I’m butch! And frankly I consider that to be under the trans umbrella as a breaking of gender stereotype and norms,,,, Although apparently not a whole lot of folks agree that it falls under here I fear. That makes lots of identity conversations awkward 😞

I mean is it not different? Gender non-conformity and being a gender different from your sex aren’t the same thing, being trans isn’t about breaking norms/stereotypes

I’m aware it’s not about norms and stereotypes, it’s an internal gut feeling that I’ve experienced that is closer to transness than anything else I’ve seen. I also know it’s not about clothes or anything material, and frankly, neither is being butch, even if it has a large role to play. I don’t feel like the sex I was born with, I like to play around with my expression of that as much as I feel comfortable with

And ik that sounds like being genderfluid as well, but being on the more masculine side of things and my connection to lesbianism really makes butch suit me as not only a sexuality label, but a gender identity as well :)
