when a trans man says this imo perpetuates the view that they are just confused rather than just a man you realize this right? not to mention gender ≠ sexuality and what that is is gay (sexuality) culture

Regardless of what transphobes make of it, this is still something that some trans people experience. It doesn’t make it any less real just because transphobes spin it against us I don’t see your point here. Obviously gender ≠ sexuality, and gay culture still applies to those of us who are gay. Gay trans men are still gay men

Not really. Cis gay men who say this are generally accepted. I’ve rarely seen women take issue with a cis gay man who says he’s a girl in spirit
