guys is it obnoxious if i choose cassius for my middle name or should i just do cas. like cassius seems so cool but does it make it obvious i'm trans. as much as i love them, i don't want to accidentally be the "nb uses funny/weird name" stereotype

choose cassius, it's an awesome name. shortening names is only for first names, middle names are supposed to be obnoxious (my middle name used to be bartholomew, it's now adelaide)

to clarify: cassius is not an obnoxious name, it's cool af, but if you're worried about it being obnoxious, that's literally what middle names are for

"middle names are supposed to be obnoxious" helped me feel a surprising amount better. my current middle name is cassidy so i'm like hehe it's similar enough that it's kinda like my parents still had part of it

omg dude i had a similar reasoning for choosing cassius as my middle name! 1) i thought it was cool and 2) i wanted to keep the same initials my parents gave me :D
