Medically speaking, I would see no reason for testosterone to directly worsen chronic pain (though I don’t know what specific chronic pain you’re referring to, of course). HOWEVER, lifestyle changes you’ve experienced as a result of starting HRT *could* contribute to pain, and it might be important to bring that up with your provider to see if they have any recommendations for you.
how hrt impacts it depends on your specific condition/the causation. for ex, some people with EDS find going on t improves their symptoms (and some find going on e can exacerbate them). iirc some people going on e also find it exacerbates migraine/epilepsy symptoms. but again, depends on the condition/your reaction to hormones/other medications/genetics/etc.
Just joint pain all around - granted I was already fat before starting t and have gained a lot of weight since, which I know can worsen it, but there’s been other things making it difficult to lose weight that my insurance has blocked any treatment for, and ik it comes with inflammation and added pressure but even like, non-load bearing joints are fucked. I think it might be an autoimmune thing but haven’t been able to pursue diagnosis
Yeah I’ve? Been trying on my own bc I don’t really know what to do, they say similar with like, more movement in general, but pain and exhaustion makes it difficult in like a feedback loop. I’ve just gotta figure out what works, I used to powerlift so that’s been my frame of reference which is uhhh not low impact
Start slow if you need to. Even just a 15 minute daily walk will build a habit and make you more confident in your own willpower. For my own joint pain, I find a combo of yoga and self-massaging also make a big difference (I have severe jaw pain from a bad TMJ injury. Painkillers never came close to touching it, but massaging and stretching the surrounding muscles has made a HUGE impact.) Even in the event that HRT is making things worse, you can keep things at a baseline until you can get help.
