I mentioned several times in my interview and during the first few days back that I am trans and that my legal name is DEAD. I mentioned I was afraid of family support and that the less information given about my transness the better. They assured me when they hired me that they’re familiar working with trans folks (a former staff member was a trans woman) and they are big on DEI. So why the fuck am I still being put into unsafe positions?? I’m so sick to my stomach that I can’t fall asleep

my friend had to intern at a school for his degree and the coordinator lady straight up asked him what's your real name. i could scream. i'm so sorry op. i was in a zoom class and the professor was checking roll and everyone was there.. except for [deadname]. so she called it out a few times and the class had stopped and i needed to have my attendance be counted, so i had to unmute and be like ... yeah that may be me. made me want to puke.
