like there was a transmasc dude who was upset about being intentionally misgendered in gay bars and people are like “that’s on you for not transitioning and taking t” DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF

if you don't have any internal disconnect from your assigned gender then what makes you trans? (im not referring to the 2nd point because obviously people who dont want to/cant transition are trans i am just referring to dysphoria itself)

I mean I don’t see why someone would transition without some sort of dysphoria or euphoria so I’ve always found it to be such an irrelevant conversation because I don’t think it’s even happening on any large scale level worth talking about

It’s SO annoying. If yall don’t get mad when cis men are GNC, you don’t get to be all pissy when trans men are GNC. If cis people can express themselves however they want, so can we. Jesus Christmas.

like a few weeks ago there was drama with this one non binary person being like “the 10000th trans guy going on t and becoming an average fat hairy guy” and people responded with…… transphobic rhetoric like “you’re not even really trans you won’t ever transition” (it said that) and it’s just so fucking disheartening seeing our mindset regress

As someone who does have dysphoria: Sometimes it’s not about getting rid of the bad feelings, it’s about chasing the good ones. Maybe you feel apathetic as a woman, but ecstatic as a man, so you’re transitioning so you can be happy with your body and not just tolerate it.

Exactly. It’s people on Twitter picking fights and making up discourse over the, like, 3 trans people who the hypothetical scenarios they make up apply to. When in reality they could just ignore those people, let them go about their lives exploring gender in whatever way they like, and everybody’s happy.

many trans people have dysphoria but being trans means you have gender dysphoria OR gender euphoria, i.e. you gain something from transitioning either way (lessened pain or added joy)
