as a transman i yearn for whimsical boyhood so bad i feel crazy. i feel like for transmen it's the opposite in terms of being encouraged to de-age, but i def maladaptive daydream about being small

a lot of things that are pushed as feminine today are associated with youth (no body hair, big eyes, small bodies, etc) so that could also be some of what you're seeing
