What’s the difference between a chaser and someone who has a trans preference? Like, if someone was attracted to femininity but not vaginas, so a trans woman is their type, is that a chaser? (I’m also trans, just curious.)

i mean its a little weird to have a trans preference imo if youre talking based purely on physicality, like not every trans person will have the same body, and theyll have varying levels of comfort within their body. ime, chasers in particular tend to be fetishists who objectify trans bodies, usually at a specific point in their transition (like smb on hrt but no bottom surgery) but sometimes its someone who fetishizes the experiences or identity of trans people.

Cuz I know genital preferences are valid, and the trans community is very supportive of that statement, but if someone likes WOMEN but has a genital preference for penis, would that make them a chaser? Because from what I know, chasers are people who only go after trans people and see them as sexual objects, but what if they’re looking for a forever partner in just trans women?

Trans preference is not a thing. that’s just being a chaser

Like a sexual PREFERENCE but not like… seeing them as a sexual object? You know what I mean?

like even in the example you give its just reducing trans people down to genitalia. which isnt even fully accurate because bottom surgery exists

Okay, but what’s the difference between reducing someone to genitalia, vs genitalia preference?

A) preferences don’t need to be exclusionary (just because someone finds, for example, a particular body type more attractive generally, doesn’t mean it’s a dealbreaker to not have that body type) B) trans people can prefer to date other trans people due to a correlation between transness and having specific experiences/worldviews, and this idea can extend to all queer people preferring other queer people generally
