anyone have any tips for a trans guy looking to start testosterone?? I’m trying to go to planned parenthood once I get to college in a few weeks, but I’m petrified that it’ll be too expensive/my legal guardian won’t let me use their health insurance ☹️

planned parenthood is always a great place to start and many locations offer sliding scale fees if you’re self-paying.

there's a site called Plume that's $99/month without insurance and i think $33/month with insurance if you need options!!

Does your guardian see what meds you’re on if you’re a dependent on their insurance but are over 18?

also your guardian would have to remove you from their insurance completely in order to be able to stop you using it for specific things

not sure if my mom could see my meds but she could see that i was going to the dr a lot bc she could see my drs and that i was racking up medical bills
