Any transfems start HRT without starting laser hair removal? I can’t afford laser/electrolysis rn and I’m wondering how to cope.

You can do it, prolly shave with a cartridge razor or something more skin friendly. Moisturize and exfoliate and all that. Shave first with the grain then rinse and reapply shaving cream and shave against the grain. Then do passes from each side to be extra thorough. Could combine with some makeup, though if facial hair is more dense than a certain point you’re kinda short on options speaking from experience

Oestrogen will help slow and thin it out, but it’s best to find a razor that works well and is gentle to your skin! Also, cold compress/aloe vera after to help calm the skin! I’ve personally found that Gillette (Venus, specifically) gives me the best and closest shave of any I’ve tried so far, but took me time to test and settle on them! Also, invest in electrolysis when you can. Actually permanent and works for all hair types on all bodies! Best to do it right from the start. 🙂‍↕️

I can’t shave more than every few days or I break out. So I’ve just become accustomed to a permanent 5 o’clock shadow, and shave to gipsum’s recommendations when I’m doing events. However, if you can get your skin to be happy with more frequent shaves, go for it

For laser search for a beauty college in your area, you can get really good treatment for a small portion of what you’d usually pay

Do NOT use IPA or epilators though! They may have immediate results but you will suffer when hair regrows, as unlike laser/electrolysis, it’s not permanent
