aside from cost of prevention, balding is a pretty personal choice of being on t, but if you have vaginal atrophy you gotta get that treated. it's not just the vagina; it's the urinary tract and your whole pelvic floor

i'm on the nuvaring for it and stopping my periods which is ideal for me. super low maintenance and covered 100% under the ACA since i'm in the US, plus a generous window of time to insert it if forgotten, though i do mine on a four week rotation with a phone timer. it's a pain to keep up with meds that aren't daily, so it was ideal for me

i got my first UTI ever and also started bleeding while inserting things into me while masturbating. i've heard it doesn't impact some people, so you may have just dodged it in which case awesome and good for you, but just keep an eye on it.

it's something that happens to many people who have a vagina on T. the t "throws off" (i don't know the medical term for it) the balance of hormones in your body, which is awesome bc body hair but also means that the vagina stops self-lubricating/maintaining as well. this has impacts all over your pelvis, which is why you can get UTIs from it. folx has a decent article on it
