
for people who’re accepting but don’t know much about being trans, they’ll match your vibe: if you’re nervous, they’ll be nervous; if you take the time to write a letter, they’ll take the time to read it; if you’re casual about it, they’ll be casual about it; if you treat it like a celebration, then they’ll celebrate. think about how you want them to react, then work backwards to figure out how you want to come out :)
I mean I didn’t really “come out”, but they know I am a crossdresser who has dysphoria (even if I am attempting to avoid medical steps). My sister caught me crossdressing, so that was how it started. For my parents I wrote a letter and gave it to them, helps because it’s hard to actually talk out loud sometimes.
