Honestly, more cis people need to pick their own name and get it changed when they’re unhappy with it. There’s freedom in it but many deny themselves that because of dumb “norms”.

Exactly, idk why name changes aren’t more normalized for everyone, probably because of how much stuff you need for it and then how much you need to change after (online accounts, drivers license, other things like that) which doesn’t seem worth it for something that’s just “I don’t like my name” but is worth it for trans people

Even then tho they can do what we do and just not use their legal name for the first few years until they can manage to get it changed. Hell technically they never ACTUALLY have to do the legal route. We just do it cause it causes us dysphoria to hear it most of the time.

It can definitely be a process to do all of that. Hell, if enough cis folks did, it would probably be more streamlined and easy (😒) after a while. But even just using new names amongst friends and family would probably help more folks. And not just a “Bob(by)” instead of “Robert” type situation. 😂
