as an artist myself my favorite thing is when there isn’t a distinction between trans and cis people when drawn. i’m in fandom and a lot of times i’ll see people headcanon a character as a trans man and then draw him shorter and curvier and noticeably more feminine than what’s given in canon. my favorite is the people who just let being trans be something about the character and don’t make a headcanon affect the whole appearance.

It’s both funny and frustrating how every time there’s this discourse you have a majority of trans women saying “hey please stop drawing us like caricatures” only for people who aren’t trans women to go “we are literally being progressive and representing you so well”
