I (mtf, pre-HRT) wish I could come out, but I’m worried if I do then people won’t see me as a woman or even believe me. If/when I do come out, should I say that I’m nonbinary until I pass enough or should I just come out as a trans woman from the start?

i think if you're a woman you should say that. some people won't, but so many people will. even when i didn't pass, even when i still was presenting as a girl, people in kind spaces generally took me seriously and at my word that i was a guy. i've known multiple other trans people pre transition and i took them at their word that they were their gender, because that's all you need. you're a girl; you should get to be a girl. good luck 🩷

i mean youre probably gonna get they/them'ed either way, and to the people that wouldnt believe you its not like being nonbinary would be any more believable to them
