I’m sorry to hear that for her. So I still live at home/with friend since I graduated, and the only thing I pay for is helping with food and phone bill. I used my graduation money and saved about 5k from working full time to pay for 2 plane tickets and Airbnb for 22 days in a different state. I bought my long term friend who also save 1k to help with food and other things. My parents are not supportive at all of my choice to have surgery but they still let me use the insurance.

Which I got the insurance to cover by getting multiple of letters of support from different therapist. I’m still going to have one hell of bill but I plan on doing a payment plan to pay it off.

If it wasn’t for my friend and my grandparents I don’t think I would’ve been able to get it done. I wish your gf the best of luck on her journey.
