Can “bro” be considered a pronoun? So many people use it as one, Ex. “Bro thinks he’s hard.” “Bros built like chef boyardee.” “Bros a legend.” At first I thought it was a title, but it’s used more frequently than how you would use some1’s name?

I use bro and girl as placeholders for traditional pronouns or names regardless of that person’s gender

the word you’re looking for is affirmation 🙏 a lot of people will gender their affirmations, but it goes a bit deeper than affirming identity since you can implicate status or age (maam and sir), express yourself (duuuude), and supply context (babygirl don’t drive)

I consider it a genderless term atp, same with girl. I refer to people as bro or girl when I’m sassing about an action to all friends regardless of gender.

And the thing is, bro isn’t always a man. Bro is used for women a lot too.
